Call Before You File • Adjuster Documentation • Supplement Preparation • No AOB Required
Filing a roof insurance claim in Florida requires more preparation than most Jacksonville homeowners realize. The difference between a fully paid claim and a denied or underpaid claim frequently comes down to the quality of documentation presented to the adjuster — and whether you understand what your policy actually covers before you file. JK Prestige Constructor Corp provides comprehensive claim support from the initial inspection through final payment. We inspect and document damage before you file, meet with your adjuster on-site, review the written adjustment for discrepancies, and prepare supplements for missed items. We do not require Assignment of Benefits agreements — you retain full control of your claim throughout. Florida's 3-year claim window (for windstorm and storm damage under Florida Statute 627.70132) means you have time to prepare, but documenting closer to the storm event is always stronger. Free inspection, no obligation.
Call us before you call your insurance company: Filing without professional documentation means the adjuster controls the narrative. A roofer with strong documentation practices lets you present a complete, accurate picture of damage from the start — reducing the chance of denial or underpayment and eliminating the need to re-open the claim later.
Full roof inspection with high-resolution photography of all damage points. Written scope identifying materials, quantities, and storm attribution. Weather data from nearest NOAA station confirming the event. Report formatted for adjuster submission.
We meet with your adjuster on-site at your request. We walk the roof with the adjuster and point out every documented damage point. We ensure the adjuster's scope matches actual damage before they leave your property.
We review the insurer's written estimate line by line. We identify missing items, underpriced materials, and omitted installation steps. We prepare a written supplement for your insurer identifying each discrepancy with documentation.
Once your claim is approved, we complete the approved scope. We never pad scopes or include work not needed. Your home is repaired correctly, and the work is documented for your file.
We inspect your roof and document all damage with photography. We advise whether the damage is sufficient to support a claim or better handled as a self-pay repair. No obligation either way.
Written scope, photographs, storm weather data, and contractor pricing compiled into an adjuster-ready package. You receive this documentation to file your claim or provide to your insurer.
You file with your insurer. You retain full control of your claim. We do not require AOB and we do not communicate with your insurer without your knowledge and direction.
We meet with your adjuster on-site. We walk the damage with them and present our documentation. We ensure all damage is noted in their scope report before they leave.
If the adjustment is incomplete, we prepare a supplement with specific discrepancies cited. Once approved, we complete the repair or replacement. Final inspection and manufacturer warranty registration.
High-resolution photographs of all damage points, a written scope identifying specific materials and quantities, contractor pricing, weather data from NOAA confirming the storm event, and a comparison between the adjuster's scope and the contractor's scope. JK Prestige provides all of this with every storm damage inspection.
Replacement Cost Value (RCV) pays the full replacement cost minus your deductible. Actual Cash Value (ACV) depreciates based on your roof's age. On a 15-year-old roof, an ACV payment may be 40–50% less than RCV. Review your policy declarations page before filing.
AOB transfers your insurance claim rights to the contractor. Florida restricted AOB in 2023 (SB 2-A). We do not ask homeowners to sign AOB agreements. You retain full control of your claim. We provide documentation support but you remain the claimant throughout.
Florida Statute 627.70132 requires windstorm and related claims to be reported within 3 years of the date of loss. However, waiting weakens your claim. File as soon as damage is identified.
Start with a licensed roofing contractor experienced with storm damage claims. We can identify and document damage, advise whether it merits a claim, and prepare documentation that supports your position. For complex, high-value claims, a public adjuster (paid 10–20% of claim value) may add value — but for most residential roofing claims, contractor documentation is sufficient.
Free inspection. Documentation package included. You stay in control of your claim.
